After dinner was over, everyone except Jim settled back into the kitchen, taking the dirty dishes from the dining room with them as they went.
Jim grumbled under his breath as he found the Centauri women brash and flashy, but he remembered that not long ago, Lindaru had patiently endured his family on Vorlon.
After what seemed only a few minutes, the girls' bedtime had arrived and each of the aunts tucked them in and read them a story.
Lindaru settled next to Jim just as the news was coming on.
"ISN special report - coverage of yesterday's fatal accident report - this word just in. The last three female survivors of the Martian owned transport from Centauri Prime to Markab Space have passed away. Doctors are trying to determine if their simultaneous passing at 4:00 a.m. was due to the fact that the Centauri women were triplets. To make matters worse, one of the employees of the Martian transport system is a member of the House of Drow as were the three women whose untimely deaths occurred this morning. When asked for comment on the situation, he declined to reply but stated that he was planning to retire as a driver at the end of the year. Martian Transport Systems serve all planets in the Alliance and is one of the largest growing transportation companies in the galaxy today."
The three women entered the living room area and Lindise asked, "What are you watching? Girls all tucked in."
Jim and Lindaru turned slowly to face them but
neither were able to utter a word.
Now that everything was ok RES decided to go exploring agian. she had seen much and experianced much, but once you have you always want to find more in the galaxy, in the universe, in your self. so RES took her ship out and was going to say good bye to everyone. She decided that Lindaru was the natural first choice. It was late but she took her shadow babies and headed toward Lindaru's quarters.
As she was walking somethind didn't feel right.
it felt like someone or something was tyring to contact her. i could have
been may people. The feeling got heavyier and heavier till she needed to
sit down at Gwyns coffe shop. she ordered her and her babies some hot tea,
and sat feeling the pain of what was to come.
RES knew now where she was going first. she would use what she knew from Amirage and she would find the Mage's homeworld. and then she would try to ease his pain.
By that time she and her babies were done with there tea and headed toward Lindaru's.
******************
Knock Knock Knock!!!!
"Lu...you there? Hey Lu open up!"
"Saved by RES...agian." Lindaru thought.
"I guess i have to get that girls" and Lindaru
got up to let RES in.
Lindaru fixed RES and herself some cocoa in the kitchen. Jim and the sisters were sound asleep.
Lindaru filled RES in on the events of the day ending with the terrifying news report on the transit accident. She paused and then looked RES directly in the eyes. "If they passed away this morning, how can they be sleeping in the next room now?"
RES put a hand to her forehead. Perhaps some of the strangeness she had felt coming here dealt with this. She swallowed hard, trying to keep Ammirage's pain to a minimum and then looked in the direction of where the sisters were sleeping. She dared not reveal to anyone that she was still linked to the First Technomage; however, she got up and went towards the room to see what she could scan.
After about three minutes of total silence, RES
turned to Lindaru and told her what she sensed.
Morden noticed a sudden hollowness inside her, a feeling of loss. A great sadness washed over her, engulfed her and left her feeling drained.
On the otherside of the universe near the rim of the galaxy a room suddenly became silent except for the sound of a hurried young healer leaving.
The senior Technomage healer looked up at the sound of the young neophytes hurried pace. He new that this was not a good sign and yet not unexpected. The young junior healer slid to a stop on the stone floor just outside of elder mage's chammber.
"Master Healer, Master Healer!" He panted trying to catch his breath. "I...I..."
"Yes young Lazarous, you have good news for me."
"I, I, am sorry...Master Healer." The young trainee looked very glum. "I am afraid our brother has finally gone beyond the rim."
The sage old Healer nodded his head. "Are you sure of yor words young healer?" He asked quietly.
The young man lowered his head. "Master Lenard was with me my lord, twas his diagnosis." He paused. "He has sent me in haste to inform you just this minute."
"Thank you." The old magi dismissed the young healer and continued writing in his journal.
< I have just now received the word of our
brothers departing. It will bring much saddness through out the clan and
the brotherhood of Ammirage's passing. He held for us such great hope......such
great hope. If only there had been enough time to prepare him, but then
there is never enough time to prepare. Perhaps he was were he was supposed
to be when he was the most needed. Only the universe knows for sure. For
now Booji is safe, the anti-Booji will remain trapped forever in that other
realm. The Red Demon of the Darkness has been exposed and the followers
of Boojilion finally brought together. It was a very expensive price to
pay, but one I am sure that Ammirage would have aggreed to. I will miss
him....until we met again....beyond the rim with the rest of the brethern.
"The Raven is mine," Marichka said firmly.
Morden looked back at her and gave her that smile
Marichka had seen on her own face more times then she could count. "So
it is. I'll return it, don't worry. Oh, and congratulations on your appointment."
She turned on her heels and left.
"Easy, Gwyn." <You can go she snapped to the Shadow, who departed silently. "This will help the pain."
Gwyn felt as if her face and brain had been ripped in half, and it hurt to even open her eyes, but she managed to pry one open and bring Morden's face some what into focus as she felt the prick a syringe aginst her neck. Then Morden moved, and Gwyn lost the focus: the world swam and she passed out again. When she woke the second time, her head was still split in two, but her vision was better.
"Don't even think about sitting up," Morden said firmly. Gwyn didn't have the strength to argue.
"Where are we?"
"On the Raven, headed back to the Temple. It took you awhile to fight...a few more minutes and I wouldn't have been able to save you completley."
"You sound angry...or is that just my head?"
Morden sighed. "Both," she replied, dropping her voice a few levels. "I'm not angry at you though. I'm angry at myself, for letting this happen. For letting you go back to Zagros 7 alone."
"Don't be," Gwyn frowned, still trying to gather her chemically charged senses. "You were against this from the start, remember? I should have listened to you. But I'm just too damn stubborn...won't even listen to myself." Morden looked puzzled, and Gwyn closed her eyes. "Long story...the great thing about being unconcious is that it gives you plenty of time to think, and to learn. Someday, I will tell you everything."
"Shall I leave you to rest?" Morden asked.
"No...please, stay. I haven't even thanked you yet," Gwyn pleaded, and Morden could see that Gwyn feared being alone. She was still traumatised, though she did not realize it now, she would later. "I need...want...to talk. You see, the reason I always opposed the Shadows, always thought they were a little less correct than the Vorlons, is that I have always believed you must know who you are before you can know what you want. In our lives, it is hard enough to struggle with the first question without having to worry about the second. "We are all pieces of good, evil, priciples, beliefs, memories...and sometimes, the peices conflict, and we have to think using only half the picture. I have been doing that for a long time. Never allowing one half of my nature to interfere with the other. When I joined the Shadows, I was convinced that the better parts of me would have to die, or my whole soul would be swallowed by remorse. But there is no "better" or "worse" parts, there is only who I am. I know who I am now. I have finally laid my past to rest, am finally able to face the future without trying to use it as penance for the past. I'm no longer afraid of myself, and no longer afraid of the Shadows. They are not who I am, they are not who I will become. I will serve them, yes, but out of loyalty to my own sense of honor. I can serve them without surrendering myself to them."
Morden considered Gwyn carefully for some moments, then smiled, a genuine, true smile. "Gwyndolyn Roxburgh, we may turn you into a decent agent yet. I think at last, you begin to understand. Gwyn returned the smile weakly, and Morden's eyes darkened. "You're tired, aren't you?"
"Yes, a little."
"You shouldn't try to think so much," Morden chastised.
"Hmm...do you know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking we need to stop meeting under these circumstances...does one of us have to get beaten up in order to have a conversation?"
A smile played around Morden's lips. "When you're better, we'll discuss the possibility."
"I will get better, won't I?" Gwyn pressed.
"Yes, you will. I'll see to that." Morden said, her features darkening. Gwyn hoped it was the drugs, but for a moment, she looked like Marichka, so much that Gwyn shuddered. She closed her eyes to block out the unwelcome vision, and realized she truly was tired.
"For once, I am going to listen to you, Leonora Morden, but don't let it go to your head. Wake me when we reach the Temple."
The ghost of the smile returned to Morden's face,
and she watched in satisfaction as Gwyn slipped into a healing sleep.
"My lord."
"Jurac, my friend. Why are you so formal?" Elric asked in his deep quiet voice.
Jurac shuffled his feet a little. "Well, er, ah, Elric you are afterall our leader." He managed to get out.
"Jurac we have known each other since we were children together, that is far too long to be so formal with me. Especially when we are alone." Elric chastized.
"Yes my lord, er, Elric." He paused. "Anyway, ah, Elric we are ready to depart. The last few items and materials are just being carried aboard now. It is time, my lord, ah, Elric."
"Yes my old friend I have been watching." Elric now turns and with his hand on the stout Jurac's shoulder they walk together through the now empty stone corridors. The sharp echo of each foot step surrounds then in the dark passageways as they pass. Gone are the rich tapestries that had garnished the walls. Gone are the soft plush carpets and dark heavy wood furniture. The workers had done well and ensured that nothing was left. No hint that the powerful technomages had ever visited this lost world on the edge of the galaxy. Even the dust had been removed, there would be not a single trace of even the slightest speck of DNA left behind. It was as if they had never been.
"Where are we to go now Elric?"
"We, my friend, are bound for a great journey."
Jurac looked puzzled. Elric continued.
"We will cross the great divide and journey among stars that have never seen the like of us."
Jurac now looked shocked. "To the next galaxy....Elric? We are crossing the empty realms to the next galaxy?"
"Precisely my friend, precisely."
"And...and, when will we be back?"
"Perhaps never Jurac, perhaps in a million years. That is up to the universe. Totally up to the universe."
They continued in silence for a while until emerging from the outer stone ramparts onto the landing pad.
"Elric, what about....the others?"
"They will do just fine without us. There comes a time for all people when they must go in a different direction, for what ever the reason. Our responsibility here is through. We returned to help the Booji as he asked, that task is done. We have lost one of our best and brightest, one we could ill afford to sacrifice in such a way, but we did." Elric paused thinking about his lost friend, his apprentice and his son Ammirage.
"And your son, Elric, he goes with us?"
Elric was silent for a long breath. "Yes, Jurac, he comes with us. We will find him a resting place far from here, where he will not be alone." Elric's voice was heavy and the feeling of lost and pain was not lost on his friend.
"We have put this journey off long enough Jurac." Elric's pace picked up as he neared the giant shuttle. "For now lets see where our magic will lead us in this grand adventure."
"Aye my lord, to the far stars." Jurac yelled as they entered the great ship.
Epilogue:
The days of the Technomages ended with the lift off of that final shuttle. It was the last of many to renezvous with the Technomage mothership orbiting high above the now deserted landscape. Now they would take their leave of our universe. They would leave behind their old worlds, and the many lands that had been their homes and fostered their lives. They would leave behind the memories of the past to begin their grand adventure.
It was the final twilight of one Epoch and the dawn of another age. For the mischievous sons of Merlin had slept far too long and now that they were fully awakened, found that they did not belong, in the worlds that had weened them, any longer. They had come too far and seen too much to step back and settle in with a mondane existance, so now it was time for them to go. With their kith and kin and sacred knowledge safely aboard the grand ship it was now time to cross the vast vacant spaces between galaxies and journey into a new age. Perhaps in a million years they would come back.........perhaps.
The great ship edged out past the last stars,
beyond the flux of the suns of ancient homeworlds and entered into the
abyss.
"Absolutely. Again, my sympathies," the gray haired man said dourly.
She thanked him and broke the connection. How was it possible? The very three of which she had just communicated about were snoring away in the guest bedroom.
She composed a quick message for Jim stating only that she would be gone for a while and her apologies to her cousins, but she would return quickly.
She gathered up her things and put them in the white linen shopping bag and started out of the Temple.
As she stepped out into the dim light that always surrounded the planetoid, she looked up and noticed a fleet of ships overhead. Were those technomage ships?
She said a silent prayer and continued on her
way to the unpleasant task ahead of her at the morgue.
"Does the headache ever go away?" Gwyn winced.
"In a few days. 5 at most. I can give you something for the pain."
"No, I'm fine."
"No you're not, but you can keep telling yourself that," Morden observed drily, then held up a hand to silence Gwyn's retort. "Let's not start! I came by to bring you this. Figured you might notice it was missing." Morden held up an emerald ring suspended from a silver chain. Gwyn's eyes widened, and grew bright.
"Where did you find it? I thought it had been lost..."
"Marichka had it, and your pocket watch, which is in with a few of your other tings I managed to collect before leaving. Is this an earth emerald?"
"Centauri. It's my engagement ring. He bought for me on Centauri Prime."
"What was his name?"
"Maxwell...Maxwell Stuart. He was killed in a terrorist attack, not long after we were engaged. The same attack that killed my 5 older brothers, and my father. The seven of them were all I had; my mtoher died when I was very young. I don't have much left from them. The ring, the watch, a few photographs. Almost everything else was destroyed when the colony was invaded. Or I sold it for money. So thank you. For everything."
"It was my pleasure. Marichka wasn't happy when she gave it over, but I don't think she wanted to see what would happen if she refused."
"You're still linked, aren't you?"
Morden shrugged. "Yes, but I'm beginning to see
the advantages." Gwyn didn't look convinced, and Morden flashed her ghost
of a smile. "We'll talk about it later...you still need rest. Anyway, we're
almost to the Temple, I have things to see to," she said dismissively,
and walked out as abruptly as she had entered.
The medical examiner in charge did not even glance at Lindaru. He methodically checked a list and switched open the latch on the first cold steel drawer. Pulling it slowly out he prepared to pull back the tan synthetic blanket when he stopped short.
Lindaru looked up, her attention caught by the suddenness of his pause.
"It's empty!" he exclaimed. He went immediately to the next one on the list and it was empty as well as the last of the three.
He dashed over to his computer and started punching up information, thinking that clearance had already been given by the hospital to release them to either Centauri Prime authorities or to a funeral home. No such clearance had been given.
The medical examiner apologized profusely for such upsetting events. Lindaru, unable to speak from the shock, turned and left the morgue quickly.
*****
Lindise turned restlessly under the covers. She again saw his face in her dreams. What was his name again? It mattered not for he would not even stay long enough to accept a "thank you". Though she had discussed the puzzling events with Lindaline and Lindelle upon leaving the hospital, none of the three could figure out what or who this First Technomage was who had used the last of his precious powers to bring them all back to life.
Lindise sat straight up in bed, her eyes wide yet still not clearly seeing.
"Ammirage!" A sudden wave of sadness came over
her as she realized that this wondrous person had not been there in the
flesh at the time of their resurrection, but rather had teleported his
essence from his dying body. Neither she nor her sisters had yet
had the courage to take Lindaru aside and utter his final message.
They had all sensed that it would be a sadness too much for Lindaru to
bear.
"Their gone! their bodies are gone!"
"You mean they aren't at the morgue?"
"Exactly! those girls at my quarters are my sisters, just they were my late sisters or are they my late sisters? It really confusiong."
"I understand...there is something they have to tell you. I heard it in their thoughts. It's about them "coming back to life". I didn't quite catch it, thery themselves didn't remember it. i opened the door though and by the time you get back they should know what they want to tell you. I have to warn you though, i dont think i want to know what it is...let alone you."
Lindaru understood what that meant. yes it was
blunt but she knew RES and she knew everything she said had a double meaning.
So she prepared for the worst and started teh journry home.
RES had allowed the children to stay awake. she
was a soft hearted person and couldn't resist those little shadow eyes.
(they CAAAAAN be quite cute). she told them it was time to settle down
because Lindaru was going to be comeing home soon and that they didn't
want "mammy" and "aunt S" to get in trouble. As all nice kids do they did
quite down but RES knew that Lindaru would know that she had let them stay
up, just as long as she was preocupied RES knew she would be all right.
After Lindaru filled everyone in on what had happened when she and Jim had been watching the news, she turned to the others for an explanation.
Lindaline shivered and went first. "We were dead or at least dying. Some entity--First Technomage came in and gave us his life energy so that we could live."
Lindelle nodded and swallowed hard, continuing. "He was someone you know. He told us that he was going to die anyway because of the battle to help Booji. He is was irreparably injured."
"You mean--" Lindaru stammered.
Lindise bowed her head sadly. "Yes, Ammirage gave us his life force. He said it would be his very last gift to you."
Lindaru reached into her tunic pocket and pulled
out the still blue glowing crystal. She hoped with all of her heart
that all seven of the children were asleep. She did not want them
to hear her cry.

Marklov looked around the docking area. He'd come to the temple on a transport from Proxima. One of the few that came anymore.
A woman took his identi-card and smiled, "welcome to the temple of Booji," she said.
"Thank you," he nodded. "Excuse me, I'm looking for someone who passes through here from time to time."
"There's a com screen just over there," the woman pointed.
"Thank you." He moved on. The place was busy. Not as busy as some of the ones on Proxima, but certainly not dead. He found the com screen. "I need to find Leonora Marklov," he said to the screen. This was all so new to him. The only other time he'd been off Proxima was when he was 7. And he had his mother with him.
"Name unknown, would you like to make another inquiry?"
Marklov frowned. He saw something out of the corner of his eye. Someone being brought in on a stretcher. She woman on the stretcher and a woman in a brown suit standing over her. Insect like creatures pulled the stretcher away.
The woman in the brown suit sighed and put a hand on her hip and her head dropped to one side. Then Marklov recognized her. "Leonora!" he called. It took her a moment, but she turned. Her eyes went wide, "oh my god, Davis!" she cried. She ran to him, her arms out, her smile huge. "You son of a," she cried as she threw her arms around his neck.
"Hush!" he cut her off, "you always did have a foul mouth."
"You're here. You found me. Why?" Morden asked.
"I decided I'd seen enough of Proxima. Where better to start then where my little sister is?"
Morden stopped then giggled. "It so good to see you. Come on, I'll get you set up." She began to lead him away by the hand. Davis hesitated, "you're not using Marklov anymore."
Morden looked down sadly. "Not now, Davis, please?"
He gave her a comforting smile and squeezed her hand. "Show me around."
Morden smiled again.
At the hotel he inquired about his brother's whereabouts
and got a short "he's not in his room" from the receptionist. He could
be anywhere on the station, so Neil decided to wait for him in the Hotel
lobby.
Garibaldi walked unhurriedly down the main hall. He went for a while without seeing anybody, so he turned down another quiet hall and headed for the Docking Bay. Crossing the bridge he walked into the busy customs area of Boojilon. Busy, he noted, but without suit influence. Soon he was in the Zocalo and he stepped into Gwyn's Coffee Shop.
"Hello." Chirped an automated drone. "Welcome to the Coffee Shop."
"Don't worry Garibaldi." Major Buttons called from a table. "Just ask him and he'll give you whatever." She returned to her ice cream.
He ordered a hot chocolate and sat down at one of the stools. It was quiet in the shop, too, only MajorButtons and a few non-followers. The universe seemed to be at rest.
He finished off his drink indifferently and got up. Back at customs he prepared to crossover to his quarters on the Pulsar when an announcement came over the P.A. system. "Transport 52 to Sol System departs in three minutes. Please board immediately."
Sol, Garibaldi thought. He had some unfinished business there. For a moment he considered whether he should send a message to someone explaining where he was going, but he thought better of it. Who would care? So he bought a ticket and boarded the shuttle just before it left.
He slept through most of the trip.
"She Who Must Be Obeyed! Good to see you!" Lindaru attempted to hide her confused emotions.
"Hope I'm not bothering you but just wanted to let you know that Stu and Barb just arrived here from Sol. Looks like we will have to cancel our plans unless you want us to invite them along."
Lindaru stared at the screen. She had completely forgotten about making plans a few days ago. She recovered herself. "You go ahead and visit with Stu and Barb. We will just make it another time. Lindise, Lindaline and Lindelle came yesterday, so looks like we have a full house, too!"
"Great, then!" She Who Must Be Obeyed said and
reached to disconnect. Only a moment before she did, Lindaru
noticed in the background that Stu's eyes glowed a strange white . . .
or were the lights playing tricks?

Barista and Wicket were in the lab when they heard the anouncment. "Will all the followers please report to the breifing room for a briefing by David." "Did he just say." "Wait, If David's out there, then who's in the orb." Both of them eyed the orb suspicisly.
****************************
"It's called The temple of the Anti-booji, the original was a small temple which I managed to destroy with some assistance. That's when I wrote the note to the followers. I though I would be happy. When I destroyed the temple though I destroyed my happiness. About six months later Neirol." "Neirol! I thought he was dead." "So did I, but as it turns out he wasn't, anyway this time the temple was an entire planet. I managed to take out the power core but in doing so I accidentally sent it here." "How long do we have." "Two, Three weeks." "So what do we do." "That's why I got sent here to do penence I have to find something for Booji." "Penence for what?" "For creating the anti-booji." "FOR WHAT. I THOUGHT YOU WEREN'T IT'S CREATOR." "The suits tricked me, Booji warned me but I didn't listen." "WHEEZE." Jim cut in "What do you have to find. WHEEZE" "An antient artifact of boojism. Booji said it could save us from the temple of the Anti-booji. Lindaru, Jim, RES I really need you guys to help me out. So you guys up to a deep space expedition." "I guess I don't have much choice." Lindaru said. "Most Certainly." RES chimed in. "WHEEZE, The avalanche has already started, it is not up to the pebbles to vote. WHEEZE." "Just take it as a yes and be done with it. So what ship are we going on." RES said. "The big one out there the Pulsar III."
***********************
"Alright, pulling in to the docking bay. Jones I need you to get the rest of the fleet up and going. If we fail you may be our last line of defence." "Who's on the other ships." "No one, they were all hooked into the pulsar III's systems. I evacuated everyone before the rip opened." "Alright."
***********************
"So Lorien where are we going." RES said about ten minutes into their trip. "Where their motto is 'If it's old and usefull. We probably have it and our abusing it.'" "IPX." "Exactly."
Did I not tell you I was back with a vengence.
asdfa
This morning Neil had worked in the Booji Shop decorating his office while Tyler the junior Shop Keeper had helped the customers. And while Neil had been working Galahad was checking out the station by himself. They had agreed to meeting in the Coffee shop for lunch, and Neil was planning to finally find out why his brother was here, who had succeeded in avoiding that issue for the past two days.
The Coffee waitress put Neil's usual cup of choccy on the table and paid her. "Have you heard anything from Gwyn?"
"No sir, she hasn't been in touch at all.... and I still need to paid for half a month, I hope she shows up soon, I can't live on tips alone..."
As she turned and headed for another table to serve some non follower customers chaos started.
Just as the door opened and Galahad walked in the station com system activated with a buzz "Will all the followers please report to the breifing room for a briefing by David."
At once at least 15 people jumped up from their seats and headed for the door, including Neil. As he passed Galahad he grabbed him by the elbow and started pulling him along. "Change of plans, come with me, it sounds serious I'm guessing we need all the help we can get"
"Who's this David?" Galahad asked as he hurried next to Neil toward the Briefing room
"someone we thought had gone beyond..."
"Gwyn!" he said, seeming at a loss for words.
"Hi Neil," Gwyn made up for the akwardness by giving him an ethusiatic hug. Neil returned it, then sat down opposite Gwyn, his frowning.
"Is it true then, that you joined the Shadows?"
"Yes. I'm sorry I haven't been in touch, but Kat wouldn't let me have visitors, and before that..." Gwyn shrugged, unable to find the words.
Neil finally voiced the question he had been waiting to ask. "Why?"
"Becuase I was arrogant, stupid, desperate...take your pick. I thought maybe I could help the Followers. But it was my genious idea - the Shadows had no part in my decisions, and they didn't even want me at first. Morden event ried to talk me out of it."
"I believe you, but it doesn't make me feel any better!" Neil sighed. "Can you ever leave them?"
"No...I'm not sure I would if they gave me the chance. Before...maybe. But not now. You see, they tried to put me into one of their ships. Morden stopped them, but the implants were almost completely in. The process...changed things. The Shaodws are part of me now, in a way I'm not sure I like, but that I can't ignore. I don't believe in their cause, I don't think I ever will, but I have become part of it, all the same. It doesn't change who I am: a Follower and your friend. I intend to enjoy my time here! The Shadows won't have need of me for awhile yet. It's there way of apologizing without actually admitting the stabbed me in the back. So come, introduce me to the mysterious stranger you came in with!"
Neil took Gwyn over to Galahad and after awhile,
was able to forget that anything had changed.
"I trust them to do whatever they're going to do without me."
"But -- the anti-booji!"
"Is dead." Garibaldi sighed. "Archeological digs aren't really my style."
"Well, suit yourself." She shrugged him off and started for the door. "But if I didn't have a station to run you can bet I'd be right there with them."
Garibaldi got up and hurried after Jones. "But actually there is something I need your help on."
"Yes?"
"A couple of my 'contacts' will be arriving soon on an unmarked cargo liner. I don't want any of the resistant suits still on the station to know they're here. Do you think, you could -maybe- pass them through customs without any trouble?"
Jones sighed. "Yeah, yeah, just send your info to my office and I'll route it to customs."
"Okay, thanks."
She walked out and Garibaldi followed a minute later. He started towards the Zocalo, but after a short travel he heard a commotion in a nearby hallway. When he peeked in, though, he saw a familiar face doing battle with a large brown bull. A couple of milkcows were grazing farther down.
"Ranger?!" The bull suddenly looked up at Garibaldi
and charged.
"Jim . . . I am worried. Where do you think they could all be?" Lindaru had just hit "send" for the fourth time.
"Do not worry . . . they probably went shopping." Jim wheezed a rainbow of colors.
Lindaru tried to feel reassured but did not.

<Where are we going? Domi inquired, tightly strapped in with her sisters in the Darkstar. "To find your mama," Lindise responded.
<Where did you get this cool ship? inquired Jesi.
"It was a gift from--a--ah--a friend," Lindaline offered nervously.
<Is it as powerful as the Pulsar? asked Mari.
Lindelle darted a quick glance at her sisters. "Yes and no."
*****
Eclipse was busy in his movie studio when he
heard the ISN News Report - something about Lorien's resurrection and some
of the followers gathering for a mission.
He had been relieved thinking the war with the
anti-Booji was over, but apparently he had been mistaken. He carefully
put away his movie data crystals and shut down his computers and editing
equipment. He could not let them go this alone. He had sensed
that the anti-Booji was going to use the followers' own families against
them. In the last week or so, many Booji followers had found long
lost or not seen in a long time family members. He considered this
to be a strange occurrence. No one had come back into his life and
he wondered why. Of course, Eclipse would be immune to any tricks
by the anti-Booji. Could this reuniting of family be a trick?
If so, why?
"Nothing that involves me," she said dismissively, "how's mama?"
"She's good. Getting bored on Proxima. She wants to start travelling again soon."
Leonora shook her head, "where can she go that she hasn't already?"
"I don't know. But she's got something in mind apparently. Now, you..."
"What about Proxima? Is everything going smoothly there? Not too many troubles?"
Davis frowned and set down his wine glass, "Little Lea, and I know how much you hate it when I call you that, but I'm going to call you that anyway. What's going on?"
Leonora tapped her glass uneasily. "You and mama, you never told me."
"Never told you what?"
"Genetics," Leonora took a drink. "Mama raised me and she loved me like she'd given birth to me. I had a family who loved me and raised me right, and it still bugs me that she wasn't my natural mother."
Davis looked down, a little upset. "How did you find out?"
"Does it matter?"
He looked a little shocked by the curtness of the question. Leonora sighed, "I'm sorry, but it really doesn't."
"Mama always told me that she wasn't allowed to say anything. And neither was I. She knows where you came from, but she would never tell you. She said you shouldn't know. What did happen?"
The waitress came to the table and set the food in front of them.
"Not now. After dinner okay?" she asked gently.
He nodded.
"David."
"David. but I'm afraid that we have no recently uncovered artifacts related to Boojism. We could give you our recent files on what we have."
"Thank you." With that the IPX agent walked into a long corridor as soon as he was gone RES said "He's lying you know."
"Of course he is."
"David." Lindaru cut in "The question is what he's lying about."
"David."
"I don't know david but he thinks it's important."
"DAVID!!"
"What is it Lindaru."
"That tablet over there. THe symbols in the middle look like."
"TWO BUCKETS!"
The group ran (and waddled) over to the artifact. On the way over David accedentally tripped and slammed his hand onto the artifact.
"NO NO! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"
"David?" Lindaru turned him over, his eyes were dark black.
Then bright red, then they were back to normal.
"We have to get back to the ship I know where we're going."
"Where?" RES questioned "I don't know yet."
"So you know where we're going, but, you don't know where we're going."
"Yes."
"Do you have any idea what he's talking about?" Lindaru asked Jim.
"NO."
"That tears it if David's speaking in riddles a vorlon can't understand he's gone off the deep-end" "Quick Lindaru, we have to get back to the ship." David yelled.
asdfasdfasdfasdf
"They're all over the station." Ranger said. "We've been trying to round them up for hours but so far they've always been one step ahead of us. And I was on my way back to the coffee shop when I met the welcoming committee here." They both looked at the two cows still in the hall, both of which took off in the opposite direction. "Come on. Let's get this to Hotrod at the Coffee Shop. They're having a barbeque."
They dragged the carcass most of the way to the Zocalo before Garibaldi's comlink beeped and Security Chief Jones said, "Your 'contacts' just checked in Mr. Garibaldi. They're at Docking Bay 2."
"Contacts?" Ranger asked.
"Nevermind. Sorry, gotta go."
"That's okay. I'll go get Hotrod to help me with this. Be sure to come back when you're done, though, we need as much help as we can get. These things are EVERYWHERE."
"Fine." Garibaldi walked off towards the Docking Bay and Ranger went to the coffee shop. A minute later he came back with Hotrod to drag the animal the rest of the way.
"Well, where is it?"
"I don't know! It was here half a minute ago!"
Moooooooooaooohaoahhahahahhahahhaha!
The two ran as fast as they could for the safety
of the Coffee Shop.
She stood up and looked around. Where exactly was she this time. It was alright when you could teleport yourself anywhere, but it helped if you could actually determine where you were going _before_ you got there!
Looking around she spotted a sign which read "Boojilon 5", so she had ended up on the station had she? Well, while she was here she might as well see if there were any other followers around, but first, something to drink!
Laura spotted a sign for a coffee shop and smiled, that was just what she wanted! So she headed over to get herself a cup of hot chocolate and to see who else was around.
From somewhere behind she thought she heard a
mooing noise, but dismissed is as her mind playing tricks with her again
(strong telepaths, especially rogues like Laura often found their mind
filled with strange words and noises, it tended to drive them insane, which
was an adaquate description of Laura). After all, why would there
be cows on a Space Station?
The taller one was Critty. "You took these pictures of cows on the station this morning? They look strange."
Eclipse shrugged. "At first I thought it was my equipment but it looks like there is more to these cows than meets the eye."
At that moment She Who Must Be Obeyed entered the cafe and ordered a coffee. She flashed a warm smile at Laura and nodded. "Pay no mind to those two men behind the curtain," she joked indicating Critty and Eclipse.
She looked over Eclipse's shoulder (She Who Must Be Obeyed is 6' tall herself.) "Whatcha doin'?"
"Took pictures of these cows this morning and look at them - they are starting to phase out like Shadows or something on film! Cows can't do that, can they?"
She Who Must Be Obeyed shuddered. "Cows! I have 100 different non-sports card sets out on auction right now and the only ones that have bids are the *Top Cow Painted Showcase*. Must be a cow conspiracy!"
Critty nodded. "I have had a lot of requests for cow mouse pads and screen savers. What the heck is going on?"
Just then, Laura turned as a white uniformed man
bustled into the coffee shop with several crates of - you guessed it -
moo juice!
Cows arriving on station? What is so unusual about these cows? What do Garibaldi, Security Chief Jones and Ranger1138 do now? What can Eclipse, She Who Must Be Obeyed and Critty determine about them from the video footage? There is more to Morden than meets the eye - will her family lineage reveal her true identity? Read on in Episode 3.
